Trying again for pics..................

Missing Naples

Well I'm having a very different year. Usually once a year I get to look forward to going to Naples Florida to a condo resort with some of my extended family. My husband and brother in law are co owners so it's like a home away from home. My sister and I have our own little locked up closet with all of our things so the place can be rented here and there for weeks at a time. Which hasn't been going too well. We're going to work on that. So because of this economy we can't afford to go this summer. I miss being there so much. My favorite place to be was on the balcony overlooking the little winding lake and the ducks and the fountain in the lake that you can always count on for that soothing sound of water splashing into water. Sounds weird but it's awesome to me. :D Then there's the beach. Only 2 minutes away. Awesome white sand. Warm, and I mean warm water. I hate cold water. Of course when you go to Florida in August, the water is at it's warmest. Just the way we like it. lol Okay now I'm depressing myself. How about some pictures of my favorite place:

Wow, I'm like trying to get the hang of blogging, but I'm so wrapped up in my shop, the items I sell, coming up with new items, etc.......... I think I'm putting too much pressure on myself to write something interesting. The most interesting thing about me is the unique items I create on a daily basis. So for instance, I have an awesome customer is France that keeps asking me to make tiny, and I mean tiny guinea pigs and various playsets. People see how tiny and detailed my work is and there in awe of what I do, but it's very time consuming. I started my shop with the unique 12" dogs and cats that I make, but somewhere down the line the economy has made me into a maker of tiny things. It seems everyone loves the dogs and cats in my shop, but they can only spend so much money. The under $10.00 items are what sells. Of course in the case of my French customer, she doesn't count because she wants lots of lower cost items. Anyway, I do miss creating my dogs and cats. I do still have lots of ideas for them. I have like 10 new dogs/cats that I will be adding to my shop by the end of the summer. STAY TUNED :D Okay, here's my latest playset for 3 little guinea pigs.

Sorry I've been away so long :(

My shop has been keeping me busy. And so has my aching neck and shoulders from all of the tiny creations I've been making. I've been selling on Etsy for 7 months now and the biggest sellers are the smaller items. Economy I guess. I have an awesome customer in France who keeps me very busy. Other than that I'm always in my product development mode. So far the summer here on the east coast has been rainy and cooler than normal. They say this week is the real start of summer for us. Hazy Hot and Humid is on it's way. I'm going to show you some pics of my tiny creations. The lady bug is just about the smallest stuffed animal I've ever made. It's actually stuffed like a regular stuffed animal. I'll be back soon!!!!!!

Wow, It's been a long time since I've blogged.

Wow, It's been a long time since I've blogged. I've found that I just don't have the time needed to put together a great blog like some that I've seen. Between the Etsy forums and some twittering here and there, I'm just trying to keep up. Of course I spend lots of time either working on my creations or in product development. (lots of sketching and thinking about what my customers are looking for). I'm always trying to come up with the next big thing. Which is still the turtle playset. It was featured in the storque, on the page that takes you to the community, chat rooms etc. and I guess alot of people saw it because my views went through the roof. Lately I've been working on low cost items, such as the turtle playset because I think people want to buy a little something for their kids, or their friends and family. Of course we know how horrible the economy is so that seems to be what's selling. So I added some tiny animals for $7.00 and under to go along with my little ninjas and finger-ling babies. I do keep adding a new dog or cat. My latest creation is Princess Woofie.
