It's back to the tiny treasures for Christmas!

So I've been away for a while... I've been trying to figure out all of this Etsy stuff, with advice coming from all directions. From trying to please the Search Engine with every word I use in my shop to experts telling me to double my prices to stop blogging and sending newsletters. Well I figured it's time to go back in time to my old prices, to my most popular products, and to the old ways of using my own words so my customers understand just what it is their buying. So this revelation comes just in time for Christmas! Time to break out my most popular tiny hand stitched items.

Yes I've re listed just about all of my tiny creations that I've been whipping up since I first started my Etsy shop almost two years ago. They make great stocking stuffers and are all reasonably priced. Stop by my shop and take a look. It's guaranteed to make you SMILE :D

How about a little luck?

Anybody out there need a little luck? I know I do.

Well a while back I remembered having troll dolls as a kid. They were right up there with the rabbits foot (I know that was kind of gross) But I'm talking about the LUCK factor.

I've always been all about color. I loved the different colored hair on these little guys. Well to make a long story a little shorter, I gave my niece one of the troll dolls from my shop. She picked out all of the colors down to the tiny beads she picked out for the eyes nose and belly button.

She said she was going to take it to her t-ball game because she just never gets a home run. Well 2 days later she comes running into my house all excited because she got 2 home runs in her t-ball game and her team won. She said "Auntie! I think it was my little good luck doll"! Well I don't know if it was the doll but the look on her face was priceless.

I've never actually made one for myself, but I think I'm going to make one and leave it in my pocket and see what happens. I may even start making them for my family and friends just to see what happens. This just might be an interesting experiment. I think I'll try it. :D

My little Hawaiian girl needs a home....

This is my little Hawaiian girl. I made her last summer and she's been sitting here in my studio ever since. The closest I came to selling her was when one of my customers asked me to make one with blond hair. Well here she sits. I took her out by the water to get a picture of her in her ocean surroundings. Maybe soon she'll have a forever home :)

You can find her here in my shop:

Business card window on a clutch :D

This is my new business card window advertisement on a clutch.

I know that's a mouthful, but that's the only way I know to explain it. I don't know how many times I would be buying a carriage full of fabrics and someone would ask me, "what are you making"? Then I'd be fumbling for my cards, and trying to explain my shop. Not any more!

My bag even strikes up a conversation on the business card someone interested might see. I'm very excited and I hope I can help some of you business women out there.

Ohh, and the best part is that it's really pretty. The little magenta splashes of color on the cream and green look awesome.

I would appreciate any comments :D

Should I or shouldn't I?

I made this awesome patchwork clutch with the hopes that I could replicate it and sell it in my shop. Well it wasn't easy and it took a long time to finish so I will not be making another one. That makes it a OOAK. (One of a kind):) Should I sell it or keep it for myself? It was very labor intensive so I would have to get a good price for it. What would you do? :D

Still Missing my favorite place

In 2005, after being on our family vacation for a week in Naples Florida, we were all packing up to go to the airport.

Thinking back on the week we spent there we never did get to see a sunset on the beach. Either we were out doing something else or just around that time the clouds would come in.

Well just about an hour before we needed to leave for the airport I asked if my brother in law had called the airport to make sure that the plane was going to be on time. Well he did call and found out that we actually missed our plane.

The 9 of us were in shock.( For about 2 minutes) Then Whaaaaa-Whooooooo!!! we get to stay another night :D :D :D We grabbed our flip flops and drove the 2 minutes to the beach. There was the most beautiful sunset we've ever seen. It was like it was meant to be. I miss Naples :(

Hi Everyone out there in blog land :D I'm just catching up!

I've been a busy little beaver lately. Speaking of beaver, one of my fans suggested I make a tiny beaver playset. What would I make for a beaver?

Ohhhh back to catching up. Anyway, I'm very excited and relieved that my 2nd Wishwithme newsletter was sent out yesterday. I didn't think a newsletter would be so time consuming, but I think I'm getting the hang of it. Along with the newsletter I wanted to come up with something to celebrate May, my birthday month. I came up with a Happy Birthday Party Dog.

So you can send a Birthday Party in a box. You get my signature 12" (14 if you count the party hat) dog decorated party style, a removable party blower, 2 tasty lolly pops, a full size party hat and a birthday card with your message on it if needed. Sounds good to me :D

This time of year is always so full of birthday parties and I hate trying to find the perfect gift. Another thing, like the beaver idea, is that I'm still trying to add to my list of possibilities for tiny playsets, so if you have any ideas please send me a note.

Other than all this Etsy business I'm preparing for my daughter's junior prom,a family wedding, a high school graduation, birthdays, birthdays and more birthdays. Then to end of my summer my 25th anniversary on August 31st. No vacation this year :( Dang this economy..... Maybe next year:) So any way, to whoever is reading this, have an awesome day or night.

If your interested in anything in my shop, sign up for my newsletter first and get 30% off any 1 item in my shop and a free tie dyed turtle. I know, awesome huh. lol

Looking for new ideas :D

Some of the most popular items in my shop are my playsets. Tiny turtle, ladybug, and guinea pig just to name a few.

I'm always looking for ideas for new ones. The detail on the animal can't be too intricate because my animals average 1/2" - 1" in size. If anybody has any ideas please feel free to comment.

Thanks in advance, Kathie :)

Will they actually bring good luck?

"Find a Wish-a-ling, pick it up, and all that day you'll have good luck"!

(That's what it says at the beginning of my description of my new Wish-a-lings)

I do believe in positive thinking. Negativity doesn't usually get you anywhere but depressed and angry. So here's to positivity :D
***************************************************************************************
Born in my imagination and living in a tree house in my ficus tree are my new whimsical creatures called "Wish-a-lings". Their names are:
Bindi, Lulu, Dip, Dot and Sam. They reminded me of a type of lucky charm. So I send each one out with a Wish for luck, hoping they just might make a difference in someones day.

If nothing else, I think they'll make you smile and If that's all you get from them I think that would be Awesome.

SALE! 10 to 50% off just about everything.......

Yes here at the wishwithme shop, I've decided for the first time since I opened my shop about 15 months ago, that it's time to give everyone a break. God knows I need one.

This economy has effected my family in countless ways, as It probably has yours too. I work hard on my creations, and I'm proud of everything In my shop. I feel I've always priced my items fairly, and I've had the most awesome customers within my first 15 months.

I've been told in more than one forum, that if you lower your prices, potential customers will think that the quality isn't that good. Well now it's time to prove them wrong. To me quality and workmanship and detail are number one and my customers know that. All this price cut means is that I'm giving my customers a break.

Things can only get better from here :) see ya soon, Kathie :)

Spring is here!

Yes, It might not feel like it where you are but Spring has sprung.

Here's something I'm posting in honor of Spring. My woolen bunny in a plantable, pickable vegetable garden. It even has a little fence around it. I know, I know, how does she come up with these things?

Well sometimes I just look at lots of different books (Yes that's books, and not the internet, explore your local library) and I look for different ideas, then I come up with my version with a twist.

For instance, for this adorable garden, I found a book with a bunny in a garden, but I thought how awesome would it be if you could actually plant and pick in that garden with the bunny to keep watch.

And Whaaaa-Laaaaaa!!! My bunny in a plantable, pickable vegetable garden:D I guess I'm in tune with the little ones because I used to have a daycare business and I had 2 of my own and quite a few nieces and nephews. I just know what they like to play with. I even throw in what I liked to play with when I was a wee one :D

So enjoy! And don't forget to sign up for my Wishwithme Newsletter. Upper left hand corner of my blog :D My newsletter has what's new, what's coming up and special discounts for my subscribers. (This month's discount is 30% off anything in my shop) WOW! Until next time: see ya, Kathie :)
